Multi trip – leisure
Beach, golf, city breaks, non manual business travel, fishing, safari, cruises.
Multi sport – adventure
Backpacking, cycle touring or MTB on trails, motor cycle touring, pony/horse/camel treks, surfing, coastal and dinghy sailing, yachting within 60 miles of a safe haven, windsurfing, flat water canoeing, rowing, flotilla sailing, tall ship sailing, water skiing, wake boarding, scuba diving to 40m, single pitch and bolted sport climbing, abseiling, scrambling, bouldering, via ferrata, summer hill walking (e.g. Tour de Mont Blanc) including alpine hut to hut, holiday pot holing and caving (e.g. in previously explored systems where there is an organised local cave rescue service), orienteering, running and triathlons, sea and surf kayaking, Canadian canoeing, tobogganing.
Includes upto 4 weeks of winter sports activities – cross country, piste and slack country, park and pipe.
Multi sport – max adventure
Multi pitched climbing with leader placed protection, big wall climbing, high altitude walking in the greater ranges (e.g. Nepal, S.America) or hill walking in winter conditions (including snow shoeing), glacial crossings, exploratory pot holing and caving including cave diving (where there is an organised local cave rescue service), kite surfing, rafting, canyoning, hydro-speeding, coasteering, scuba diving to depths exceeding 40m, dog sledging, sailing regattas, MTB track and trail competitive events and cycle tour road race events. High altitiude motor cycle or MTB treks.
Includes upto 4 weeks of winter sports activities as above plus – lift served freeride, back country touring, heli and snowcat skiing.
Multi sport – extreme adventure
Down hill MTB (i.e. off tracks and trails), graded white water kayaking, alpine mountaineering, ice climbing, designated trekking peaks upto 6500m, exploratory pot holing and caving in remote areas (where any rescue would be self organised by expedition members), cresta or bob sleigh. Mountain marathons and adventure races (organised amateur events only).
Includes unlimited winter sports activities as above plus – ski mountaineering.
Multi sport – expedition
Expeditions to remote or inaccessible regions in Asia, S.America, Greenland, Alaska – please do not buy this policy before completing an expedition questionnaire which is required pre quote available by email assistance@snowcard.co.uk. Before buying cover you must declare to Snowcard your trip itinerary as some expeditions may fall outside of our acceptance criteria. We do not cover expeditions within the Arctic Circle or Antarctica or military expeditions.

Multi sport – competition
Amateur competition risks for skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, down hill mountain biking, and adventure races – cover is subject to details of the nature and extent of competitive activity being fully declared to Snowcard. The maximum single trip limit for competition travel is 31 days. If you are abroad for longer than 31 days please do not use this policy. If you are a member of a national team competing in international events or receiving any form of payment or sponsorship you must provide full details before buying cover. Regardless of the activity level you select all policies cover the following:
- £10 million: Emergency medical and other expenses cover
- Including repatriation to the United Kingdom
- Up to £500: Physiotherapy and dental treatment cover
- Up to £250: Early return home benefit
- Up to £250: Car hire return benefit
- Up to £100,000: Search & Rescue expenses
- Up to £300: Ski/Dive/Golf/ activity Pack
- Up to £1000: Hospital benefit
- Up to £25,000: Personal Accident cover
- Up to £2 million: Personal Liability cover
Free emergency wrist bands
Our new wrist bands are a handy way to keep our important emergency helpline number with you even if you forget your Snowcard. It would be useful if you used a water proof marker to write your client id on the inside of the wrist band. Our helpline will require this in the event of an emergency.
