There are 6 steps in choosing a policy that suits your needs. The easiest way to find the right policy is to use our interactive policy selection under "get quote". Once you have selected the policy options that suit you, you can either purchase your insurance policy on-line or if you prefer request that we send you written details.

Note, on-line quotes are valid at time of request only and written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of request.

The 6 steps in choosing a policy are described below.

Choose the trip type

There are 3 options to choose from:

single trip insurance
multi trip insurance
long stay insurance

Choose an activity level

Single trip insurance If you are looking at single trip insurance there are 7 activity levels to choose from, levels 0-6. For more details about the levels go to activity levels.

Multi trip insurance If you are looking at multi trip insurance there are 4 card types to choose from:

activcard.leisure (level 0)
activcard.sports (activity levels 1-6)
snowcard.seasonal (level 4) - Operative between 1 November and 15 May only
snowcard.competition (level 5)

In addition if you select activcard.sports you will also need to specify the activity level required, from levels 1-6. For more details about the multi trip activity cards go to trip type.

Long stay insurance If you are looking at long stay insurance there are 2 card types to choose from:

activcard.explorer
activcard.backpacker

Choose the cover required

There are 4 cover options, A-D. For more details about the cover options go to cover options.

Choose the area of travel

There are 2 options for the area of travel, Europe or World wide. For more details about the area go to area of travel.

Choose the duration of your trip

Single trip insurance If you are looking at single trip insurance you can have cover for 3-60 days.

Multi trip insurance If you are looking at multi trip insurance the cover is for a year and you can choose between 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or unlimited snowcard ski weeks. There is a 31 day single trip limit. Ensure you start annual policies from the date you book insurance if you require cancellation cover, otherwise start the policy on the first day of your trip.

Long stay insurance If you are looking at long stay insurance the cover is for 2-18 months.

Provide the number of people requiring insurance cover

Single trip insurance If you are looking at single trip insurance cover can be selected for individuals, families and groups. A family is 2 adults and up to 4 related children under 18 years old. A group is any number of individuals.

Multi trip insurance If you are looking at multi trip insurance cover can be selected for individuals, couples and families. A couple is two persons married or living together as married. A family is 2 adults and up to 4 related children under 18 years old.

Long stay insurance Long stay insurance can only be taken out for one person at a time.
